Happy Friday!
Here are some sweet pictures
of the baby shower that I hosted for my sister...
First off, our theme was pink, black & white...
I made just about everything myself for this party...
Such as this invite...
In lieu of a card, guests were asked to bring a book
to add to Baby Madelynn's library...
Guests were greeted by this pretty
hanging on the front door...
This diaper cake was almost the death of me...
It took me several tries to create it...
but I was pleased with the final product...
I hung black & pink lanterns
that I had ordered from Oriental Trading Company...
(I love these because they can be folded up & stored away
for another time)...
And the garland on the front of the table
is a duo of pink & black yarn poms that I also made...
I love these black/white striped liners
that I ordered from Shop Sweet Lulu's...
They were perfect for the Carrot Cake Cupcakes...
And these poms toppers...I am a pom LOVER!
These were made of pink taffeta...
And I also used them to display the food cards...
No party would be complete without
chocolate covered oreos
from Sweeties by Kim...
Not only beautiful to look at but also delicious too!
I used a black & white paper straw
for the cake pops...
These strawberry bars were the hit of the party...
Compliments of Paula Deen...
Blueberry Cobbler
in fabulous wrappers from Shop Sweet Lulu's...
I used a total of 6 dozen pink roses...
2 dozen were in this vase...
It is a baby shower after all...
Sugar cookies with the same sweet monogram
that were on the invite...
This perfect pink board I stumbled upon at Michaels...
I used it to hold "Words of Wisdom"
for the Mommy-to-be...
These large pink poms
were used to decorate
the guest of honor's chair...
(I really could have poms all over my house
if my hub would let me...)
The drink table...
Wine, Pink Lemonade, Sweet Tea or Lemon Water...
This table was an exact replica of the dessert table...
It even had the lanterns over the table...
I adorned the vessels & bottles
with pink roses & ribbon...
I glued baby roses on to clear stir sticks
to make these lovelies...
to make these lovelies...
These were the favors that were sent home
with the guests...
Personalized notecards that matched the invite...
I customized the Barbie one in the front
for Bethany who was 3-1/2...
She was so excited...
She was so excited...
The guests all had a great time...
The end...
The end...

Can you tell me where you got the container for your beverages? I love it
I got it at Steinmart last year...
oh my goodness, how sweet! I bet you loved dreaming up all these little details for your sister and niece-to-be. I love the black and white straws used for the cake pops - I really think black and white stripes are my favorite detail at the moment. I also love the idea of hanging a darling dress on the front door to greet guests - brilliant!
Really pretty! LOVE the color scheme of the soft pink with the black!
Would you be willing to share your recipe for the cookies and frosting if you made those too?
How did you make the poms? So cute!
