Soccer Cookies And Some Miscellaneous

What a crazy end of the week it was...
I'm no longer a 4th grade teacher...
but instead have gone back to 6th grade
(which is what I've always taught minus this year)...
That all happened in a mere afternoon...
AND...
My sister had a baby girl...
Madelynn Ruth...
(sorry for photo...it was taken with my phone)

In addition to all that...
I was asked to make these soccer cookies
(on my interview day, no less)...
Sorry for the lack of staging...

Thrift Store Treasure

I'd been wanting a lamp for my classroom...
so when I stumbled upon this crayon one at Goodwill...
I snatched it right up...
It was shadeless ...
So I took to Target and bought a simple white one...
Then I moseyed right over to JoAnn's
and picked out some rick rack to embellish...
Got home...put it all together with some Liquid Stitch...
and voila...a perfect treasure...
at a premium price...
Are you a thrift store peruser too?

Anchor's Away (Cookies)

These little anchors have been quite popular lately...
I just sent this batch of pretties out today...
I love the red anchor and the blue bling around the edge...
Add a glass of milk with a stripey straw...
It doesn't get better than this...
Pure sweetness!

Chevron Print Teacher Printables

It's beginning to look like back-to-school...
I have already begun working on my theme, lesson plans etc.
Horrible...isn't it?!
Better to do it when I have time,  feel creative and am not so tired...
This is going to be my theme this year...
Black/white chevron print, apples and touches of primary colors...
I've already created my binder cover
for that all inclusive paperwork...
and some fun personalized notecards
ready to be put to use...
We are also participating in a program called
Destination College...
in which we are promoting college, of course...
so I made a flag banner of my alma mater
with the same chevron print...
Interested in some for yourself or your favorite teacher?
Pop over here to order...

Beverage Bucket

I love using big buckets to hold beverages...
They are a much more attractive alternative
than your average cooler...
And being able to see
the different drinks to choose from
is so much better than having to dig...
I adore this do-it-yourself one from Today's Nest...
They used an actual pal...
painted the inside...
added the chalkboard tag...
and the best part...
a magnetic bottle opener
for easy access...
Brilliant!

"Anchors Away" Cookies

We celebrated the 4th of July weekend
at the beach with family & friends...
Since we would be spending much of our time
 on the boat,
I decided "anchors" would be the perfect theme...
I made these cookies as favors...
I nestled them in tins that I had bought
at Target...
This one ended up being a bit too big...
So I moved down to this size...
Which fit perfectly...
Added some clear wrap...
And a tulle bow...
Instant yummy, patriotic prettiness...
