Double Duty Personalized Notecards

I picked up the latest copy
of Martha Stewart Weddings yesterday...
Amazing eye candy...as usual...
I love pouring over the pages...
soaking in each and every picture, idea, & detail...
I think this idea is absolutely fabulous...
a beautifully done personalized notecard
 (which becomes the favor)
that doubles as a place card...
You could adapt this idea to a shower, a birthday...
The possibilities are endless...
For a smaller group (unlike a wedding)
perhaps design 4 cards, wrap them oh so pretty
and voila' favors done...check...check..check...

An E-Course

I just had to blog quickly
to let everyone know that I am taking
the "Blogging Your Way" course
sponsored by Holly of Decor8
I'm so excited...I can't stand it!
I never thought that "I" would be excited
to take a class, that has homework, voluntarily...
But I am!
Wish me luck!

Sweet Friday - The Oscars

on a few of these pretties

Peace, Love & Pizza Party Sneak Peak

Here's a sneak peak of a
Peace, Love & Pizza party I'm styling
for school this Friday...
this is the invite...
I think it turned out rather adorable
if I do say so myself...
I've been busy making yarn poms...
I'm loving the colors of these...
They are just happy little things...
I'm going to use these as garland along the front of the table...

I'll post pics next week...

Napkin/Silverware Place Setting

I must say napkins & silverware
can be a bit of a problem at times...
Where to put them...how to hold them...
Tie them up...leave them out...
Well, I'm loving this solution
from Bird's Party...
She's just got that silverware
tucked in as snug as a bug...
And it couldn't look any more darling...
I might this give a whirl on Friday
for the Peace, Love & Pizza party I'm having at school...
Of course she is so thoughtful as to give us the how-to...

Here's what you'll need:
* 3 fold paper napkins work best (you can use fabric napkins too)
* Paper napkin wrapper
* Double-sided tape or hot glue or just standard sticky tape
1. Gather your goods...
2. Take your napkin and position it with the fold facing away from you.
Take the top flap and fold 1/3 under the fold.
(I used the lines printed on the napkins to guide me here)
3. Turn the napkin over. Can you see what it looks like at the back?
Now fold the left and right sides inwards,
meeting at the center
(step 5 should show you clearer..)
4. This is what you should have at the front.
The little pouch is already formed.
5. Now, just wrap the paper napkin ring
around the folded napkin to cutefy the ensemble!
Secure with hot glue or tape at the back.
6. Insert cutlery, flowers, straws etc in the pouch.
Stand back and admire your pretties! :)

President's Day

It's so nice to be off today...
Sitting here in my pj's on the couch enjoying a cup of coffee...
starting my day off with inspiring eye candy...
What could be better?
Since it is President's Day
I thought it would be appropriate
to have red, white & blue pretties...

Sweet Baby Paperie Suite

I am just adoring this little paperie suite
I designed for a friend...
It just has sweetness written all over...
The baby lion...
With wrap around address labels...
For those notes that you don't mail,
a sticker for the front on which to write a name...
The baby rhino...

This suite will be in the shop by tonight...
Do you like?

Valentine's Day

Wishing you a day filled with sweets, treats & love...

Goosie Girl and I were busy yesterday
getting all of our goodies ready for today...

and then I've been wanting some personalized
notecards for school so I whipped up these
in Lilly colors...
and then I thought the envelope needed a pop
of color so I added these stickers...
maybe I'll get to use them today...
Happy Valentine's Day!
