Apple Cookies

As we wind down the school year...
I wanted to do something nice for my homeroom mom...
So, I made her some pretty apple cookies
to show my appreciation...
I nestled them all snug in a sweet basket...
Tied them up with clear wrap & ribbon...
And tied a thank you tag to the front...
I hope she likes them!

A Summer Favor

I am a sucker for flip flops...
Actually it is my shoe of choice for all seasons...
So of course as a party favor...yes, please!
Especially when they are presented this cute...

And how easy these are to make...
Plain flops...silk flowers...and some bling...

Sweet Friday - Baby Shower

Happy Friday!
Here are some sweet pictures
of the baby shower that I hosted for my sister...
First off, our theme was pink, black & white...
I made just about everything myself for this party...
Such as this invite...
In lieu of a card, guests were asked to bring a book
to add to Baby Madelynn's library...
Guests were greeted by this pretty
hanging on the front door...
This diaper cake was almost the death of me...
It took me several tries to create it...
but I was pleased with the final product...

I hung black & pink lanterns
that I had ordered from Oriental Trading Company...
(I love these because they can be folded up & stored away
for another time)...
And the garland on the front of the table
is a duo of pink & black yarn poms that I also made...
I love these black/white striped liners
that I ordered from Shop Sweet Lulu's...
They were perfect for the Carrot Cake Cupcakes...
And these poms toppers...I am a pom LOVER!
These were made of pink taffeta...
And I also used them to display the food cards...
No party would be complete without
chocolate covered oreos
Not only beautiful to look at but also delicious too!
I used a black & white paper straw
for the cake pops...
These strawberry bars were the hit of the party...
Compliments of Paula Deen...
Blueberry Cobbler
in fabulous wrappers from Shop Sweet Lulu's...
I used a total of 6 dozen pink roses...
2 dozen were in this vase...
It is a baby shower after all...
Sugar cookies with the same sweet monogram
that were on the invite...

This perfect pink board I stumbled upon at Michaels...
I used it to hold "Words of Wisdom"
for the Mommy-to-be...
These large pink poms
were used to decorate
the guest of honor's chair...
(I really could have poms all over my house
if my hub would let me...)
The drink table...
Wine, Pink Lemonade, Sweet Tea or Lemon Water...
This table was an exact replica of the dessert table...
It even had the lanterns over the table...
I adorned the vessels & bottles
with pink roses & ribbon...
I glued baby roses on to clear stir sticks
to make these lovelies...
These were the favors that were sent home
with the guests...
Personalized notecards that matched the invite...
I customized the Barbie one in the front
for Bethany who was 3-1/2...
She was so excited...
The guests all had a great time...
The end...

An End Of The Year Ice Cream Party

This ice cream party was designed by Mirabelle Creations
as an end of the year party for her children...
As the end of school approaches for me
(4 more school days)...
I'm contemplating whether I have enough
time and energy to whip this together
for my students...
(We already have plans to walk to the neighboring park
to play and have Chick Fil-A for lunch with the other
4th grade classes)
But for the last hour...this would be cool & refreshing...
Help me out...do or not do???
Can I whine for just a moment and throw this in...
I'm SO exhausted...the end of school is like a marathon...
but this is such a great idea...
I love how she incorporated the oranges...

I could keep it simple...
vanilla ice cream...
and then just do toppings...
but that's the easy part...
the time consuming is all the fun details
that I couldn't live without...
How come I can't be normal
and just throw out some ice cream and say here?...

Doesn't this look SO yummy...

Hmmmm...

A Blue's Clues Party

I didn't even realize Blue's Clues was still around...
I can remember many a day
watching it with Goosie Girl...
So imagine my surprise
when I stumbled upon this precious party
over on Kara's Party Ideas...
The memories came flooding back...

No detail was left unturned...
Remember the thinking chair?...

These cookies are beyond sweet...
and not to mention, decorated gorgeously...
