An Adult Game Night Party

Thinking about having a game night party for adults?
Here is some eye candy that may make you want to roll the dice...
The color scheme for the evening was black & white polka dots & yellow...
I made the invites using black & white polka dots and a Scrabble tile font which set the stage for the party...

My inspiration for this table came from who else but the queen of dessert tables...
She had done a black & yellow table that tickled my fancy...
I thought the color scheme would be perfect for this party...
The flag was made using the same polka dotted paper that was used for the invitations & adorned with yellow & black ribbon...
I think it looks fabulous on the white french doors...
I used two of the same colored yellow tablecloths so that they would drape almost to the floor...
I purchased them at my most favorite place...HomeGoods...
I used black serving pieces that I had from Goosie Girl's birthday-halloween party which were purchased at Target & HomeGoods...
For height, color & freshness, I used simple, clear square vases & covered them in the same polka dotted paper & attached yellow ribbon...
They sat on top of block styro squares that were spray painted black...

I made these Whoopie Pies using Martha Stewart's recipe...
I used her Marshmallow Fluff frosting (which I tinted yellow) for the inside...
I also added vanilla pudding so they would be moist...
I cut a piece of the polka dotted paper to use as a liner for the pedestal...
I like how it peeks through...

I found these tiley, sparkly looking, black candle holders at Old Time Pottery...
I couldn't resist..
These chocolate cupcakes are made using Ina Garten's recipe...
They are the simplest things to make!
I made cupcake wrappers using the same polka dotted paper...
The black tray is from Target...
The tic tac toe cookies are made using a chocolate sugar cookie recipe that I found at Bake at 350...
the dough was amazing to use!
I hate when you are trying to roll it out & it's all sticky & yucky...
Not this one!
I piped X's & O's using royal icing that I tinted yellow...
Cakepops are from the cakepop queen herself, Bakerella...
I tried dying the chocolate black but it came out gray...
I don't know what happened...
I even used Americolor...
oh well...
the gray blended...
Both of these trays had the polka dotted paper liner too...
I found these sweet little dice boxes which I filled with Lemonheads...
This little pitcher (there were 2 of them from HomeGoods)
were filled with chocolate covered pretzel sticks...
I sprinkled banana split sprinkles on top to give them some texture...
You can't have a game night without popcorn...
I like the touch of red too...
Cakepops again in the back...
The front tray has domino chocolates...
Again, my black wan't working well so I kept them white...
A side view...

My favorite piece of the party...
the dice wine charms!
Totally love them!

The water had to have a little bling...
Same polka dotted paper with the same Scrabble font as the invites...
An arial view from the balcony...
The perfectly coordinated plates & napkins...
both from Target...

I heard the party was a big hit...
I hope you enjoyed all the details...
Please let me know what you think!
Oh...and thank you fellow & favorite bloggers for all the ideas
