A 40th Birthday Party

Okay peeps...
Here are ALL the pictures from the 40th birthday party
that I did this past Friday...
I must warn you though...
there are quite a few pics so be prepared...
My photography skills do not do this party justice!

It all started here with this invitation...
The colors were black, white, a touch of reddy pink & a houndstooth print...
which then led to...

This was the champagne table...
and my favorite...
it was so pretty and elegant...
and yes, those are real roses on the swizzle sticks...
I used about 80 roses throughout the party...
the dessert table...
2 dozen roses in each of these vases...
The theme was carried outside to the porch
because you can't beat a Florida night...
This was the food table...
This was just kept simple...
Okay, my fave...
I glued baby roses on swizzle sticks that I bought on Etsy...
I got the idea from Martha Stewart (of course)...
It was unbelievably gorgeous!
I carried the baby roses & ribbon throughout this table...
This looked so sweet...
pink lemonade...
(lemonade, grenadine & lemon slices
from The Barefoot Contessa)
Of course a matching houndstooth napkin
to catch spills...
Sugar rimmed glasses for the pink lemonade...
We had to make these glasses pretty too!
The champagne looked fab
in the silver bucket filled with ice...
plates, napkins & roses for the dessert table...
The birthday crowns...
There were four ladies who were turing 40...

You can't have a dessert table without cake pops...
The most delicious strawberry bars...
and pretty too...
recipe courtesy of Paula Deen
Oreo truffles...
These are to DIE for!
These were the ones from Me & My Pink Mixer
that I posted a few weeks ago...
The only difference was I used the original chocolate oreos
rather than the vanilla...
and black ribbon bows that were carried throughout...
Chocolate covered pretzels...
2 dozen red roses...
The ladies who were turing 40
had their own special
cupcake toppers...
Gorgeous chocolate covered Oreos
from Sweeties by Kim...
Linzer heart cookies...
Sugar cookies celebrating the birthdays...
Licorice that matched so nicely...
A side view with the lanterns...
Those lanterns caused me MUCH stress!
Her ceiling was cement...
try hanging lanterns into a cement ceiling...
IT DOESN'T WORK!
luckily I found some tabs that DO stick...

The table looked spectacular in front of this
large glass window that overlooked the grounds
and the lake...
Simple rose arrangements for the food table...
Bringing the houndstooth print over to the food table...
Take home boxes for the yummy desserts
that were left over...
Simple bakery boxes that I adorned with the houndstooth print...
This was the centerpiece for the porch table...
You had to have champagne outside too...
Carrying the roses over to the side table...
and this one too...
There were two tables out here for the ladies to sit at...
both of which had champagne buckets...
I couldn't resist...
My helper...

Everything coordinating and perfect...
My favorite picture of the cupcakes...
You can notice the toppers so well...
Birthday toppers in front
and martini toppers in back...
These were delicious coconut cupcakes
from The Barefoot Contessa...
And they all had a fabulous time...
The End!
